i:FAO is very pleased to announce that with the new cytric Release 8.6, an interface to the the trainline will be available. For activation it will be available fully integrated. This allows a direct comparing of air and rail connection inclusive price details.
With the new release the setting for Exclusive Plus has been enhanced. Now it is possible to define a minimum number of hotel programme hotels. If the minimum number of preferred hotels should not be returned, then other hotels from the priority Cube Channel™ are displayed to the user as well.
With the new release the criteria for sorting the hotel request have been enhanced. Beside the search options hotel name, hotel chain, facilities and double/single occupancy the search by category has been added.
DEFINITION OF ‚RESTRICTIVE RATES’ FOR THE HOTEL SEARCH

Today it is already possible to define, if restricted hotel rates should be displayed to the user or not.
Per default those rates are considered as restrictive which require a guarantee or deposit.
The cytric Administrator may now define if either these rates which require a deposit or rates which require a guarantee or both should, be considered as restrictive rates. Administration für die cytric Hotel Map
All retrieved hotels are displayed with different colours on the cytric Map according to the corresponding hotel policy. The user can easily identify by viewing the map which hotel is within or beyond the hotel policy.
With the new release the user will be able to define, which type of hotel (for example green colour for a in policy hotel) will be displayed as default on the citric map.
Every year the German head organization of Travel Network called ‚VDR’ certifies hotels as ‚Certified Business Hotels’. With the new release the certified hotels can be highlighted by displaying them with a special logo.
Several DynaWeb™ retriever need to know, how many pieces of baggage the traveller takes with him in order to calculate the costs involved. Today the entry of number of baggage in cytric is already available, but as an optional entry.
‘SPEED BOOK’ AND BAHNCARD ORDERING FOR GERMAN RAIL (BIBE)

A new functionality ‘Speed Book’ will be implemented by German Rail (BIBE). This functionality is available for the BIBE interface only. Using this new ‘Speed Book’ functionality will provide the possibility to determine rail bookings within a few steps.
With the new release the feature “Deutsche Bahn Speed Book” will be available and displayed für BIBE bookings in cytric. The user will have the possibility to book in the rail portal the standard way or using the new function “Speed Book”
In addition to this new functionality there is already the possibility to order a BahnCard on the BIBE Portal page. With the new release it can be defined if users will have the possibility to order a BahnCard on the BIBE Portal or not.
With cytric Release 8.6 not only a fixed length for a free data field can be defined, but a minimum and maximum length as well.
For example for a free data field cost centre, the minimum length has been set with 5 digits and the maximum length has been set with 8 digits, this is verified when the user enters a value for the cost centre. Numbers with four or nine digits are not accepted and the user is informed that this entry is not valid.
IMPROVED ADRESS REQUEST FOR GALILEO HOTEL BOOKINGS

For Galileo Hotels which are not already in the cytric hotel database, a “Hotelinfo” request which delivers structured information about the hotel is now being started on page “Available Rooms”
The information which is returned by the “Hotelinfo” is displayed on page “Available Rooms”, and also displayed on the booking page as well as on the confirmation.
Hotels can be found by address search, for example Clemensstrasse 9, 60487, Frankfurt, DE
Up to now the address search has been done with Map Point, with cytric Release 8.6 the Virtual Earth interface is used, because it does support more country ISO codes.
